Vice Presidents

Eileen Sheridan
Eileen's incredible record breaking performances as a professional rider for Hercules in the fifties are not only outstanding athletic achievements, but in capturing the public imagination at the time she helped to lead to a change in attitude to women's sport in general. In 1955 she had completed the incredible feat of holding all 21 of the WRRA records recognized at the time. Indeed, she still holds many records, but is the first to encourage and support those who set out to break them.
Bob Williams
Bob Williams was elected as Vice President of the RRA in recognition of many years of service both as Official Observer and active Committee Member.  He has also been a course measurer on many occasions & was heavily involved in a project which proved the accuracy of measuring using a motor bike.
Janet Tebbutt
Janet broke the amateur women’s Land’s End to John o’Groats bicycle record in 1976, and has for decades been a keen supporter of RRA activities, particularly the End to End.
Dick Poole
Dick was already successful at long distance time trials when in 1965 he produced a ground breaking ride to beat the Land’s End to John o’Groats bicycle record, taking the time below 2 days for the first time. Dick was for many years Chief Coach for the sport of cycling time trials and was instrumental in the establishment of triathlon as a sport in the UK.
